“I have been struggling with a chronic problem with my Rinnai hot water heater. I’ve worked with a number of local service companies and the problem continues to persist. Out of frustration, I reached out to Rinnai and talked to them looking for guidance and assistance in finding a truly certified technician to come out and review the situation. They had a number of local companies that work on their systems, but there were a few that were listed as highly experienced, and Comfort Plus was one of them. So I reached out to them to set up an appointment.

From the get go, the communication and the people I spoke with were friendly, easy to work with, personable, compassionate to the situation, and helped get the diagnostic appointment setup for a morning window (8a – 12p) about 48 hours from when I made the call. Perfect. I run an Inn and on the day of the appointment, realized that in order for the diagnostics to be done, the hot water would have to be shut off which would inconvenience the guests if they had not showered beforehand. So I called Comfort Plus to see if we could try to have the visit at the later portion of the 8-12 window. The long and short of it was that we shifted the appointment to the afternoon window (12-4) same day. Great. Amanda (whom I spoke with) was incredibly friendly, understanding, really came across as wanting to help and to make sure they still were able to get to the property. That afternoon – as promised – I got text messages and calls regarding the appointment. Spoke to Steve who said he was on his way and would be there at 2:30 – and he was!

Steve spent a good amount of time reviewing the system, but also talking with me about what was going on, what he was going to do, and never did I feel like he was just trying to rush through. The end result is that he believes he found the root cause which will require a part he didn’t have and would have to be ordered. He worked to find the part (after he left) and called me and texted me the details and a follow-up installation appointment will be made once the part is in hand.
